ADHD Assessments
Cognitive Assessments to explore overall cognitive functioning and intellectual disabilities which include Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children® Fifth Edition (WISC®-V) and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS).
Learning Assessments to explore dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia which include Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIATT), Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing (CTOPP) and Woodcock Johnson Fourth Edition to form a cross-battery assessment using the Cattell-Horn-Carrol Theory of abilities.
Adaptive Behaviour Assessment which explore the persons everyday functioning across daily living skills, social skills, communication, gross and fine motor skills using a Vineland.
Personality Assessments (PAI) to explore a range of mental health and personality difficulties.

Assessment & Relationship Building
During your first session, your psychologist will take a developmental history and explore your reasons for referral to Moi Clinic. This session is designed to help us get to know you and your unique therapeutic needs.

Collaborative Treatment Plan
After your initial session, you'll work collaboratively with your psychologist to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Your psychologist will provide a safe and supportive environment to help you explore your thoughts and feelings.

Ongoing Support & Growth
We provide a safe and nurturing environment for your therapy sessions, with each session running for 50 minutes. We know that creating lasting change takes time, so most of our Psychology sessions are medium to long term.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Psychology services at Moi Clinic are offered on a weekly or fortnightly basis for short-term, medium-, or long-term duration. If you are seeing a psychologist under Medicare, you will receive a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year. Some clients will require additional sessions outside of the Medicare rebate program. This will need to be an ongoing discussion with your psychologist.
The number of sessions required will depend on your unique needs and concerns. Some clients may require only a few sessions, while others may require ongoing treatment.
Many private health insurance plans provide coverage for psychology services. We recommend that you check with your provider to see if your plan covers these services.
No, you do not need a referral to see a psychologist at Moi Clinic. You can simply make an appointment with one of our psychologists.
